Ali Hammoud is a PIA Registered Planner (RPIA) and Environmental Impact Assessment specialist with over 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors. He is the Managing Director and Principal Planner at PLANZONE, leading a multidisciplinary team contributing to the ever-changing landscape of Sydney.
His practice covers land use planning, property development, strategic planning and feasibility. Before founding PLANZONE, Ali served as Senior Town Planner in Development Assessment at Marrickville Council, where he represented Council in Land & Environment Court appeals — a foundation that informs the rigour of the evidence he now gives as an independent expert.
Ali also lectures in Town Planning and Development Assessment & Certification at Western Sydney University and the University of Technology Sydney, and undertakes independent development application assessment for various NSW Councils
